This island park is located approximately 12km from Iqaluit. The area was once home to the Thule People, and the remains of their sod houses, as well as numerous other artifacts, are still around for visitors to explore. This park, located on the south end of Baffin Island, is a lush (at least by Arctic standards) haven amidst seemingly endless barren landscape. The park has a number of lakes and rivers, including the Soper River, which tumbles over rocky cliffs to form several spectacular waterfalls that are each worthy of a photo or two.
